The U.S. Donor Conceived Council (USDCC) celebrates and supports the full diversity of families formed through assisted reproduction. We affirm the dignity and legitimacy of all family structures, including those led by same-sex couples, single parents, blended families, multi-parent families, and families of all racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds.

USDCC is committed to advancing the well-being of donor-conceived people through inclusive policies and practices. We oppose any policy or practice that discriminates against or stigmatizes families based on their structure, composition, or identity—including those that reinforce inequities in access to care, donor availability, or legal recognition. We unequivocally support the use of gamete donation and assisted reproductive technologies, and we oppose any attempt to eliminate or delegitimize their use.

We recognize that race and racism shape people’s experiences in donor conception—from disparities in representation and access to systemic barriers in fertility care and family formation. USDCC is committed to confronting and addressing these inequities, including the underrepresentation of donors of color, the cultural biases embedded in donor recruitment and selection, and the marginalization of BIPOC donor-conceived individuals and families.

As a nonpartisan organization, USDCC is committed to equity and inclusion in all aspects of our work. We welcome and support individuals and families of all backgrounds and do not discriminate based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, creed, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, age, ability, or marital or family status. We approach our work with an intentional focus on racial justice, cultural humility, and community accountability. We strive to build a community where every person feels respected, valued, and a true sense of belonging.
